DLP – week one

hello everyone and happy new year to you.
today marked the first day/prompt of the new year from the ladies over at Art to the 5th (https://arttothe5th NULL.squarespace – the original Document Life Project.
i am going to try really hard this year to make time for ME each week. i am spending the year focusing more on my heART, healing and health.
i will also be creating with the following design teams, the ladies from the Dream Team (http://artanthologyinc, creating 3D madness over at Artist on the Block (http://theartistsontheblock with some lovely creative ladies and last but not least, creating art with heart with Eileen Hull’s (http://www NULL.eileenhull Inspiration Team.
yes.. it is indeed going to be a busy but i am so sure fulfilling year.
so here you go.. my first page in my Dylusions journal for DLP

i chose the colours of the day from our Resolution Run this morning… it was a good way to start my year!!
hope your day was just as good.

here is to 2015!!!

‘boxed’ gift!!

hello everyone. i am here to show you a quick and easy way to ‘wrap’ a gift with love

i started out using a die from Vintage Kitchen line by Eileen Hull (http://www NULL.eileenhull, the cookie box (http://www NULL.sizzix
i also cut out an extra piece using the mirrored (http://www NULL.inspirationemporium NULL.HTML) sheet to which i added some specifically chosen words from remnant rubs (http://www NULL.inspirationemporium NULL.HTML) for that special someone

to decorate the cookie box i had run it through my vagabond using a texture fade (http://www NULL.inspirationemporium NULL.html) embossing folder.
i then used my distress ink pads, the winter collection, directly to the mat board. i then spritzed to blend the colours.
i repeated this technique onto my crinkle ribbon

i painted the insides of the lids using the silver paint and then inked the edges using vintage photo before putting it all together.

how cute is that for a quick and easy Christmas gift holder!!

there are so very many things to do with this die…do take a moment and jump on through Eileen’s site to see what the other Inspiration Team members have created so far with it.

i have linked this up to the ‘anything goes’ challenge over at simon says (http://www NULL.simonsaysstampblog monday challenge!!
