As always Linda from Studio L3 has picked yet another wonderful challenge shown to us in this video from Tim. but really how can any challenge involving Tim and Ranger products not be wonderful
and speaking of wonderful please be sure to check out Celina Matthews who has a multitude of talent and by the lovely Suzanne Bouchard a mixed media artist from Canada!!! Got to love those Canadian Girls!!
So for my tag this week i did something a little different for me. As you can prolly notice in my website i have been into more mixed media lately and not so much layouts BUT am loving the Grunge Monday challenge as it allows me to keep expanding my abilities!!
So i took a piece of recycled acetate from the packaging of a Tim Holtz Grungeboard container and laid some netting onto it. i then inked up my blending tool with the felt attachment with Sail boat blue, Citrus, watermelon, sunshine yellow, silver alcohol inks as well as a bit of blending solution and blended over the entire piece of packaging. Once dry i ran it through the Big Shot with the Tag & Bookplates die along with a blank tag. this is what i ended up with…
as much as i was loving the effect by running both through the back wasn’t ‘smooth’ enough to do some detailed stamping on. So i decided to break out a couple of different stamp sets and using archival ink stamped some details on the tag itself followed by a couple of Distress Stains.. love them!!!!
Finally it was just a matter of layering the two tags together and there you have it.. my submission for the Grunge Monday – 13 challenge.
til next time..
HAPPY SCRAPPING!!!
