HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

to me.
today i turn 45. i love that number.. not quite sure why but remembering that it was going to be a significant year in my life.
normally i wouldn’t do a write up for my birthday but have to share something significant.
i saw a robin!!
you see, 24 years ago this summer i lost my mom suddenly, unexpectedly.. a total shocker to ever one
a couple of years later, when i was out in my own home, going through a rough patch we shall say, i awoke thinking of my mom, i literally called out her name from my sleep and got up searching for her. i was convinced she was at my house. totally convinced, but of course she wasn’t. it was a silly dream but i so badly needed her at that time.
i looked out my front window and there on the line was a robin, chirping and singing and i swear talking to me telling me all will be okay… just hang on. i know it was my mom… strange as it may seem to some i will never be convinced otherwise
so why this story this morning; i am sitting here in my chair, drinking coffee after opening some wonderful presents from my wife and i look out the front window and honest to goodness what do i see.. a robin!!!!! in February, in new brunswick.. it just doesn’t happen.
my mom came to visit me!!!
i knew this was going to be a good year.
