hello everyone!
it’s been a while hasn’t it!! today i am quickly jumping back in and hoping to start sharing with you all more what i am doing in the studio
i am starting today , this year, with a calendar project that i have been sharing sneak peaks on my instagram account.
it truly was a labour of love. when starting the hardest part for me was to figure out measurements and drill some holes in a mdf board
die cut all my days of the weeks and months of the year and either stamped them or glued them onto some black cardstock
i wanted to colour the flowers so i started first by covering a piece of paper with a variety of oxides and working the paper until i was happy
a bit of vintage made everything nice and warm
i decided to edge everything with black soot oxide
and then some of the extra features.. i have been hanging onto this face for quite some time waiting for the perfect place for it…
and then yesterday i was able to add my final final finishing touches using the final shipment into the studio for 2018 and it just happened to be some glitter dusters which i dusted glitter on pretty much everything by first apply thin layers of glossy accents.
so here once again is my finished piece and some close ups to follow
don’t you just love that light layer of glitter dust on the wings and the flowers!
loving the oxide layers!
i am so very grateful for 2018 and am looking forward to my 2019. Happy New Year to you
until next time my friends,
diana
