Life is a very precious thing. sometimes, on a rare occasion, i take it for granted but then i quickly remind myself that it is only a blink in time and that blink can end any second.

Twenty three years ago today i lost my mom. I blog about it every year because it is that one blink that i will never forget.. that one moment.

as one of my readers i am sure you will not mind me sharing; at least i hope you don’t.

My mom was only 42 when she passed.. i was 21 and just becoming my own true adult self. i was just starting to realize that she was not only my mom but a woman as well. Someone who enjoys laughing and dancing and being a part of the world.

She had so many things to share with me and yes i am going to say it, it angers me that she was taken so soon. Although in the next breath  i feel very blessed that she shared as much as she did before she was gone.

My mom taught me how to cook and bake.

She taught me how to clean and keep a tidy room although she wasn’t always successful at it.

She taught me the importance of attending school and being responsible.

She taught me how to do the shimmy.. oh how i laughed.  Picture it…. i have a towel wrapped around my bottom and her  pulling each really fast one side then the other.. she was trying to show me how it felt… i love that memory.

She was a stay at home mom and as children i am sure we took it for granted.

She taught me the importance of having pictures of me by hating  her picture taken.

She loved her family and her entire family loved her

I was asked the other day if i believed in spirits/ghost and that was a hard question to answer. No i don’t BUT i do believe and always will believe that she did visit me a month after she passed.

She told me it would always be okay.. no matter what happens dimples it will always be okay
