Love you to the Moon & Back

hello everyone!

today I am here to share with you a sweetheart project that I had created for a friend.. oh my favourite kind of piece one made and full of love

when i was asked to create something i wasn’t quite sure which direction to take so i showed a couple of examples i things i personally treasure and i was off and running. i started out by laying out some bits and pieces that i wanted to use on the piece and that would include the words to a favourite song. i started out by adding a light wash over the whole thing and then took out one of my TCW stencils and some modeling paste and applied a few bits here and there, added bits of a die cut and set it aside to dry.

then i gathered a few more bits and applied a wash of watered down paste to some of those bits and the frame

i then added some hearts using my favourite modeling paste, marcasite silver to the burlap that would be hosting the picture

as much as i love my silver i knew that the sweethearts sweethearts favourite colour is purple so i laid my stencil down again, added some adhesive and once it was dry applied some foil to the hearts using some Gina K designs fancy foil.

i didn’t do every heart just a few.. love love love how this looks.. pretty cool effect no!here you can see where i sanded and then applied some ground expresso archival ink using a blending tool over different bit of the canvas

now this is me placing everything where i think i want it to be and then i just needed to add a bit of colour here and there

and here is the finished project! ( i hear she liked it!)
