Art Journalling – family

getting this in by the skin of my teeth!!
it has been a nice relaxing day here. got a bit of yard work done, a relax on the deck and a bit of play time. a good day.

today my main thing i wanted to finish was the seasonal color palette put forth by Ranger (http://rangerink NULL.com/seasonal-color-palette-april/#more-11992)

so here is my take:

i started out using my distress inks in my dylusion’s journal. i applied them with the blending tool and then flicked water on the page and heat set.

next i took out some of my stamps and my archival inks and applied them to the backgrounds using various colours

then it was time to colour the flowers and birds with my distress markers

and so here is my submission.
familyit was my first attempt at using my distress inks and markers in my art journal! thanks for the challenge Ranger!!

and speaking of challenges over at Simon Says Stamp and Show (http://www NULL.simonsaysstampandshow NULL.blogspot NULL.ca/2013/04/challenge-background NULL.html) they have a background stamp challenge going on! i am so entering this in that challenge as well!
