TCW – Love grows here

hello everyone!

today I am here to share with you a canvas I created when I just sat down and played and if you are anything like me once you get into the whole process sometimes we tend to forget to stop and take pictures..

so i started by layering some paper and tissue tape to a canvas. i then added some stencilling using modelling paste and before it dried i added some sprays

once that layer was done i added some more spray and some string pulling through the canvas

now it was time to add a few more bits of stencilling so i do so using some grit paste through one of my all time favourite stencils

i did this three times and added some more sprays

and this is where i left if for a while until i decided what i wanted the main focal point to be.. as much as i loved the brightness of the white stencilled bits i didn’t want them to be the focal point…. i decided to use another favourite the cone flower stencil to which i added to my canvas using the shimmery goodness modeling paste

and then along came another stencil from my loving pile and here is what i ended up with!!!

i absolutely love all the layers and textures i can see in the background.

i keep this piece in my stairwell because  that truly is how my home is always….. and seriously every time i come up from my studio i see this and smile.. every.single.time.
